The Chemicals Trading Desk at Keumur is looking for a highly motivated individual with an existing book to further develop and manage our chemicals trading portfolio. As a senior chemicals trader, your task will be to continue building our market making chemicals business in MENA, and Asia. Your daily tasks will be to structure, price, trade, hedge, and manage positions on chemical traders Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Manage chemical trades within the MENA and Asian markets, and explore value-added opportunities to drive new business development
• Able to immediately leverage existing relationships with both producers and customers in the area
• Maintain a strong understanding of customer requirements, competitor activity and customer/supplier performance
• Continue to develop a network within the market to maximize overall profitability of the trading book
• This role reports directly to our CEO

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Strong, pre-existing network of connections within the chemicals sector
• Excellent P&L track record.
• Understanding of operational and financial tasks
• Minimum 5 years within chemicals trading

Our Singapore logistics office, Keumur PTE LTD, is looking to expand its tanker operations team.  

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication between the traders, middle and back office
• Handle wet cargo operations as well as the necessary shipping and trade documentation
• Manage lay time calculations and vessel tracking
• Negotiate and draft letters of credit, documentation credits, invoicing as well as related contracts
• Liaise with clients and counterparties ensuring a smooth end to end process
• This role reports into the Head of Operations & Logistics

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in trading operations / vessel logistics
• Ability to work in a high-stress fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading & writing)
• Experience with tanker operations is preferred
• Located in Singapore
